Where we come from
Nicolene Schoeman-Louw has always been very outspoken about her beliefs in the need to create and sustain value-driven businesses in South Africa. It is, therefore, no surprise that the firm has successfully transitioned and evolved under her dedicated leadership as well as that of the firm’s EXCO.

SchoemanLaw Inc was founded in 2007 by Nicolene Schoeman-Louw, then a 24-year-old attorney driven by a vision to build value-driven, entrepreneur-focused legal services in South Africa. What began as a one-woman practice quickly grew into a dynamic, innovative law firm known for its commitment to quality, integrity, and practical legal solutions.
Under Nicolene’s leadership, the firm has evolved into a trusted partner for SMEs, start-ups, and established businesses alike. Nicolene Schoeman-Louw

Mrs Nicolene Schoeman-Louw founded the firm in 2007 at just 24 and now serves as its Managing Director.
An admitted Attorney of the High Court, Conveyancer, Notary Public and Mediator, she is passionate about supporting entrepreneurs to reach their boldest goals.
She holds an LLB cum laude, an LLM in Commercial Law and B-BBEE, and a postgraduate diploma in Financial Planning (CFP). Her work has been published widely—from academic journals like De Rebus and Without Prejudice to mainstream platforms including The Entrepreneur Magazine, Business Brief and Personal Finance.
Nicolene spent more than seven years on air with SAFM’s The Law Report and continues to share insights on Radio 786, RSG and others. She has lectured at the University of the Free State, guest lectures at Stellenbosch Business School, and presents legal workshops for leading organisations including Bandwidth Barn, the Cape Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and major business indabas.

Robyn Shepherd

Robyn Shepherd obtained her LLB degree from the University of the Western Cape in 2016. She joined SchoemanLaw Inc as a Professional Assistant in February 2022 and was admitted to practice as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa in November 2021.
Robyn is an ambitious professional, driven to provide exceptional support and client services. She is dedicated to maintaining professional standards and ethical work habits.

Ross Hendriks
Junior Associate | Legal Project Professional | Attorney

Ross attended the University of the Western Cape and obtained his LL.B degree in 2020. He joined Parker Attorneys during April 2021, and completed his Practical Vocational Training (previously known as Articles of Clerkship) in 2023. During his Practical Vocational Training he assisted in various Magistrate and High Court matters with a focus on General Litigation, Labour Law and Family Law.
Ross was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa in August 2023.
Ross’s long-term goal is to become a well-rounded and successful attorney, equipped with the knowledge and skills to handle any legal matter effectively. He aims to provide comprehensive and accurate legal advice alongside exceptional service to his current and future clients. Ross is driven, motivated, and passionate about various legal fields, upholding an unwavering standard of professionalism and quality.

Kerri Stewart

Kerri Stewart attended the University of Cape Town and obtained her LLB degree in 2018. She completed her Practical Legal Training through LEAD in 2018. She completed her Practical Vocational Training at Y.M. Patel and Company Attorneys and Conveyancers in 2023. During her Practical Vocational Training, Kerri gained experience in the administration of deceased Estates, conveyancing and Magistrates and High Court litigation.
Kerri is a driven and compassionate legal professional, who is dedicated to providing excellent client service and delivering same with unwavering professionalism.
Kerri was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa in October 2023.
She joined Parker Attorneys in October 2023, where she further honed her litigation skills, with a focus on civil and general litigation and family law.

Janet Mc Intosh

Janet Mc Intosh obtained her LL.B degree at the University of the Free State in 2008. She was invited to join the Golden Key Society (Top 14% of academic students) in 2007 and 2008. She went on to complete her Articles of Clerkship at a prominent firm in Bloemfontein, Honey Attorneys, where she, amongst other legal work, had the privilege of attending to matters before the Supreme Court of Appeal.
Janet has a passion for practicing law across various fields such as commercial, property and family law and holds herself to a high standard of integrity and excellence when it comes to assisting clients.
In February 2011 she was admitted as an Attorney in the Free State High Court. She took a year off to work on luxury yachts in Florida, USA. In 2012 she resumed her career as a civil litigation attorney in the Northern Provinces.
Janet obtained her Right of Appearance in the High Court whilst practicing in Pretoria and attended to opposed and unopposed applications on behalf of clients in the North Gauteng High Court, as it was then known.
In 2015 she relocated to Cape Town and worked for established law firms as a Professional Assistant and later an Associate in Litigation departments. She has appeared in various Magistrates’ Courts in the Cape Peninsula as well as the Western Cape High Court.
Although she enjoys appearing and arguing in court, she believes that legal practitioners must as a first instance always focus on resolving disputes before ensuing litigation.

She is passionate about delivering practical and efficient legal solutions to her clients, consistently upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity. Through her work, Anastacia strives to make a meaningful contribution to the legal profession, ensuring that justice is accessible to all and that clients receive exceptional service.
Zandrie Rademeyer

Zandrie is a Candidate Attorney at SchoemanLaw Inc. She obtained her LLB degree from the University of Stellenbosch in April 2024 and is determined to become an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
She is an organised, disciplined, and academically driven individual with experience in both the education and legal sectors. At a high school of over 1,100 learners, she managed administrative tasks and coordinated the distribution of textbooks, demonstrating strong organisational and time-management skills. She also gained practical legal exposure by shadowing an attorney, learning how a practice operates, assisting with consultations, and drafting basic contracts.
Zandrie is quick-thinking, and committed to excellence. A former dux student from Grade 8 to 12 and now in the top 15% of her class at Stellenbosch University, she thrives in structured environments and readily creates systems where needed. She is a fast learner and an achiever who takes pride in producing high-quality work.
